Isotonik Modul4r Series

The Isotonik Modular Series dropbox currently contains the following standalone devices, they can be used with any midi controller and have been modified by many users for their own specific set up and requirements!

Loop3r - 1.0.2

Loop3r 1.0.3 Manual

S3nd5 1.0.1

This one gives you control over the first 8 sends of the track in focus, you can map to the dials which update as the track focus changes and have 8 knobs permanently assigned to look after the sends....

D1sabler - 1.0.3

As i add functionality into the modular devices, to enable control surface mapping as well as midi mapping, the D1sabler device is invaluable as it allows you to disable the standard functionality of the controls you've assigned...

For advanced users it can also be a template for creating your own Isotonik, as you can quickly and easily create rules where by elements are disabled and re-enabled dynamically based on whih buttons are pressed....

Sl1cer 1.0.2

This device buffers the incoming audio, slices it into 8 equal parts and allows you to retrigger each slice by midi mapping eight buttons... You can then choose the length of the slice to get some cool fill in glitches...

It also contains eight other effects that include a filter up and down curve, frequency kills, a gate synced to the size of the slice, a reverse effect and finally a turntable stop....

Return 1.0.3

Ever wanted dummy clip control of the racks within your returns? Previously you'd have to route your return audio back into an audio track to achieve this which could result in unwanted latency....

This device allows you to draw new dummy clips and create whole banks of transforming effects...

It also contains a follow action feature whereby upon the dummy clip ending or stopping the rack will reset to it's original values allowing for momentary dummy clips, utilise the launch quantization on the dummy clip for example and you can have perfectly synced beat repeats!

F0llow 1.0.1

F0llow 1.0.5 Manual

Probably the most requested feature for Ableton is the ability to have clips that have an automatic follow action at clip end, this device does exactly that!

You choose whether the action it performs is to play the clip again or play the clip below it, you could even select a specific clip to play and that it will play at the clip end or when any clip in the track comes to a stop. This feature gives you the ability to work with dummy clips that are set to gate, program a dummy clip that resets the racks values and set the device to play this reset clip at clip stop....

Gl1tch 1.0.1

Simply put this is an alternative to beatrepeat, you press one of the repeat size buttons and it captures and loops a quantized piece of audio....

You can then adjust the start and end points of the loop to give you the ability to send glitches gradually out of time, speed things up and slow them down in the same way the loop in and out buttons work on a Pioneer CDJ..... Or just reduce the size of the loop to that digital grain sound and then filter it to death!

Sm4rt 1.0.1

Sm4rt 1.0.1 Manual

By clicking on the large number you open up a floating window with a set of 8 Sm4rt maps, by drawing curves into these maps you are plotting the values of each macro in a rack that change as you turn the one knob. Essentially this trick has been performed before by the likes of Ean Golden and Matt Moldover with Traktor and Reaktor but this is to my knowledge the first native to Ableton solution

SUMMARY

As you can see from the version number of the devices i return to each of them over a period of time based on users feedback. If you have a particular feature you think would improve a device then drop me a line at darrenecowley at sky dot com and i'll do my best to accommodate it!!

Works in Progress......

No exact release dates for these but in the basement at the moment i'm working on....

V0lume 1.0.1

A simplistic device that uses Max4Live to limit the faders on the APC40 to a set decibel level without the need to use a Utility plugin on every track (this ones presenting me with more challenges than you'd imagine so don't hold your breath)
