APC40 Customization

Hi all,

You've probably seen the post below about me testing max4live so as such don't have any time to support the template....

I'll happily continue contributing to the bomes forum if you sign up and join but can confirm to all that have asked that the template will only work with Bomes version 1.7 or higher and Live 8, if you don't have Lucifer i have a version with Reaktor that utilises a modified version of Beatlookup....

I've looked into the Bomes Player idea and i currently don't have the cash to get this set up, it would also involve charging a fee similar to Stray's NativeKontrol series for which i imagine i'd have to provide a good level of support, which is something with the day job i'm not in a position to do!

I'll let you know how i get on with max though and those of you using the template so far please keep in touch with the ideas you have for it as i may be able to implement these in future versions!

Max4Live

Oh well, it looks' like any output from me is gonna grind to a halt for a while, i've been lucky enough to be invited to be a beta tester for the new max4live product. I'm not a Max user so i'm gonna have to start at scratch, hopefully it will give me even tighter integration with the APC40 that i'll be able to share....

Should find time to knock out a mix this week though fingers crossed...

On a positive note, i'm delighted that Bomes are wanting to put my template and preset together with their Pro Player so all new subscribers to the software will be able to use the template as a base for their own development.....

Behind the Scenes - Part Two

Hi all,

This next video demonstrates how you can modify the clip launch buttons on the APC to give you functionality that acts like a Pioneer CDJ and DJM600....

Again everything is done with the outstanding bomes midi translator which takes the APC far beyond what it can do with the standard mapping....

As the list of people who needed support in setting it up grew and grew i've decided to close the list to new people unless you want to send a donation to my paypal account darren.cowley@ir.inchcape.co.uk detailing the email address you wish the templates and set up instructions to be sent to, make it a big enough donation and i'll consider modifying the template and preset for your specific requirement!
